(download)
I am testing the New Samsung Series 5 3G Google Chromebook

Here are some of the things I noticed so far that are not obvious.

  1. No Netflix Instant Watch does not work on the Chromebook.
  2. Amazon Video on Demand does work.
  3. You can save files locally to view your files click alt+m to view files. To delete a file select it and then click alt+backspace
  4. Google Cloud Print works pretty well.
  5. The trackpad is mediocre but the keyboard is nice.
  6. It comes with 100MB a month Verizon Wireless 3G service for 24 months ( you can pay for more ) 1GB is $20 a month you will need to supply a credit card to activate the service.
  7. If you're using it with your Google Apps for your domain email account your site administrator will have needed to make the Google Account trasition.
  8. Screen Grab is ctrl + switch window key (6 from left on the top row)
  9. It supports 8.0211N

Dev certificate from Apple is broken.

I applogies to all of you who are waiting for me to fix the Netflix Queue Sorter. I am unable to build a new version right now because I am unable to get my Apple dev certificate to work properly. I hope to try and work on it soon. Thanks for your patince.

Apple_bullshit

BTW  the bug's in the latest version of the extension are "Sort by Rating" and "Sort by Star Rating" when you have TV series in your queue. Also, the sort by length is having an issue retreiving the length.

MAKE Experimental Science Kits For Space basics

I just finished the Make Live "Make Experimental Science Kits for Space" webcast.

What I learned was the kit's needs to be 100% self contained meaning they won't receive power or signal data from the host craft. So, if you're going to do an Arduino based project and you need to know when you're in space you will have to have this base configuration.

1. Arduino (30.00)

2. Altimeter breakout board (20.00) or as suggested an accelermometer (14.95)

3. Lipo battery 24.00 and or Lipo Sheild (12.00)

4. Data loger (20.00) chances are you're not going to be able to send RF data.

As you can see it's about $100.00 just to get the basic electronics package together. Which doesn't leave much for the experiment.
